DO YOU NEED AN EE PLAN?

Every company who employs in excess of 50 employees or where the annual turnovers exceeds certain levels, is obliged to formulate an Employment Equity Plan and also report to the Director General Department of Labour with regards to the progress of the plan.

Failure to comply with this legislation will result in minimum fines of R1.5 million or 2% of annual turnover to a maximum of R2.7 million or 10% of turnover, per incidence of non-compliance per annum.
